Conversation: A Collecting Journey

Join former NBA players Elliot Perry and Darrell Walker as they discuss the process of building their art collections with artists Torkwase Dyson and Samuel Levi Jones. Following the program, enjoy a reception in Pritzker Garden with music, small bites, and a hosted wine and beer bar.
Perry and Walker first started collecting art while playing in the NBA and focused on acquiring works by African American artists and artists of African descent. Now retired from professional basketball, they continue to support emerging and established artists and add to their important holdings of modern and contemporary art, which are showcased in exhibitions throughout the United States.
