The Anderson is pleased to present “After (the sun-drenched neutral that goes with everything),” an exhibition by Chicago-based sculptor Alex Chitty. Informed by her early experience studying biology, Chitty’s work enacts a search for moments of aesthetic and resonant order—achieved through a series of meticulously crafted visual and material arrangements. In “After (the sun-drenched neutral that goes with everything)” Chitty presents a revision of her 2016 Patron Gallery exhibition “The sun-drenched neutral that goes with everything.” Originally conceived as a meditation on the passage of time, objects and images from that exhibition reemerge, now two years later, bearing traces of the slippage, displacement, and fading of the transpired interval.
