PATRON is proud to announce our participation in the inaugural Aspen Art Fair, held at the historic Hotel Jerome during Aspen Art Week. The gallery will present a selection of new work in painting, sculpture, photography, textile, and collage by artists whose practices represent the forefront of contemporary practice.

Since 2015, PATRON’s conceptually grounded, artist-centric program has fostered artists who consistently are among those leading critical conversations in the U.S., Europe, and Latin America. PATRON’s program offers an international lens, including artists based in New York, Los Angeles, São Paulo, and Mexico City while being deeply attuned to Chicago’s unique position as a historical center of architecture, design, fine arts, and critical thought.

PATRON’S Aspen Art Fair presentation illustrates how these influences germinate and extended around the world, how visual cultures cross-pollinate and share influences through text, language, material, and touch. Highlights include paintings by Chicago-based artists Caroline Kent, Alice Tippit, and Los-Angeles based Greg Breda and Liat Yossifor, collages by Dianna Frid, Harold Mendez, Samuel Levi Jones, and Jamal Cyrus, and sculptures by Kay Hofmann and Noé Martínez.

PATRON will also participate in a group preview exhibition, A Place For Us, presented by the Aspen Art Fair and 74tharts at Hotel Jerome. Curated by Laura Smith Sweeney of LSS Art Advisory, the exhibition highlights a selection of works from international artists including Samuel Levi Jones’s pulped historical textbooks to Jamal Cyrus’s collaged denim fabric in the month prior to the Aspen Art Fair.
