Pictures at an Exhibition presents images of one notable show every weekday.
Today’s show: Samuel Levi Jones: Nexusis on view at Patron Gallery in Chicago through Saturday, May 12. The solo exhibition presents new work by the Chicago- and Indianapolis-based artist. The pieces are “composed of deconstructed football skins and football tackling pad covers which were sourced from Marion High School in Marion, Indiana, Jones’s alma matter. A bulk of the material comes from the equipment Jones himself used and practiced with during his time as an athlete in high school,” according to a show description.
